Lancashire Rugby Academy
The County recognises the need for development of talented young players within the age group system. Many quality players are outside the Sharks Academy system or cannot commit to the time to that system. The Lancashire Academy which was implemented by Rob Briers,Mark Nelson and Tom Fitzgerald have appointed Chris Briers to be Lead Coach and co ordinator . Chris is a talented player and coach and has established the Academy well ahead of schedule. One of the key elements is engaging experienced former and present County players to work with the Academy Players. Trafford MV was the venue for the first session and as the season progresses the players will receive key input from their designated Coach to help them fully develop their skills and understanding of the game.
